Dr. Shuba Balan is a passionate medical professional specializing in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine. She holds dual board certifications from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Dr Shuba Balan is currently a staff specialist at North Canberra Hospital.
Dr Balan has completed her training from renowned institutions in the USA and Australia including University of Miami, Florida, Grady Memorial Hospital, Georgia, Austin/Northern Hospitals, Victoria. Dr. Balan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her inpatient and outpatient practice.
Dr. Balan’s areas of expertise include peri-operative care, managing multiple chronic complex conditions and general infectious diseases with special interest in infections in immunocompromised hosts, HIV and hepatitis. Her commitment to continuous learning and evidence-based practice ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of care.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Balan enjoys travelling, yoga and cooking.
